Welsummer Windows & Doors
Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
This policy explains how Welsummer Windows & Doors(“we”, “us”) uses personal information you send us through this website. We are the data controller for that information. Welsummer Windows & Doors is based in Reading; VAT No. 520 9716 94.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us. The quote questionnaire asks what you are looking for, roughly how much work, when, and your postcode; if you choose email, it also asks your name, email address and, optionally, your phone number. Your answers stay in your browser until you choose to send them. If you call, email or message us directly, we will have your contact details and whatever you tell us, including any photographs you send.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and stores nothing on your device. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
To reply to your request, discuss the work, arrange to measure where needed and prepare a quotation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you have made and, if you go on to instruct us, taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
We do not sell your information or use it for marketing lists.
Who else handles it
- WhatsApp, if you choose to send your answers that way. The message is sent by you, from your own device, under WhatsApp’s own terms.
- Your own email app, if you choose email and the website hands the written-out request to it for you to send.
- EmailJS, when the form sends directly, delivers the request to our inbox on our behalf.
- Our website host keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
How long we keep it
Requests that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If we carry out work for you, we keep records for as long as we need them for the job, any follow-up and our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email welsummerwindows@gmail.com or call 07912 875150. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
